ORNITHOLOGIST PROGRAM
RESEARCHING THE BIRDS IN NORTHERN PERU
10D/9N

The Marvelous Spatuletail hummingbird is an endemic bird of our zone and one of the world’s most exotic and endangered species. It can be seen from Levanto as well as other little known and unrecorded species.  We need to find all the best locations for bird watchers to observe these birds.  Observations and an accurate note taking is an important part of the day-by-day routine of all the volunteers in Northern Peru. This is the first data that can be compared with future data to calculate the decline or regeneration of these species. Your work will be logged in the city hall of Levanto as official information for birders and information that will be shared with all people interested in birds of our zone.  New varieties of birds found by you will be credited to you and added to the Levanto web page:
